How much do freelancers in the digital sector in 2019 really earn?
Want to make a living as a freelancer? Not so long ago, the idea would have scared many of us. But in recent years, the status has become increasingly popular. The daily rate is one of the key reasons. Numbers from our annual Freelance Income Survey show that the average daily rate has risen in the last year. The average daily rate is increasing
The average daily rate in 2019 was € 548. Compared to 2018, this is an increase of 6% (€ 516).
Best- and least-paid sector
Are you a freelancer working on an assignment in Construction / Real Estate, Communication / Advertising or Energy / Environment? Then you probably invoice the least. Highest-paid industries include Medical & Pharma, Finance, and Travel & Leisure.
Brussels pays the best
The average daily rate in Brussels is € 588. This makes Brussels the best-paid region for freelancers. West Flanders is the least-paid region.
