COVID-19 and the importance of education.

When hiring a freelancer, you hire expertise. Freelancers attach great importance to self-development in order to specialize more and more. In this difficult period, half of the respondents participated in training to gain market and industry-relevant knowledge, while about six out of ten freelancers stated that reaching out to their peers helps them to become a better professional.

 

Gender (in)equality within the industry.

Even in 2020, we notice a gap between the daily rates of male respondents and female respondents. When compared with last year, the average daily rate went up by 8%, but we do see a difference of 11% between men and women.
